Below is an example of a VoiceThread post. In this post, the teacher has posted a question to the students in the big screen and the students' answers are all around in the small screens. Students respond to the original questions as well as to each others' responses. Students can respond with recordings, videos or by typing text. Mrs. Lennox at Journey found that students who did not achieve well in class often excelled in this medium as written language difficulty is no an issue. This service is free at Voicethreads.com

Tech Helper -- Locking Your Computer 1

What? - Secures your computer without logging off.
How? – Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and choose the Lock Computer
option.
To unlock, simply enter your log-on password.
When not to use –
• If you share a classroom, locking your computer will
prevent others from using it. In this case log off.
• At the end of each day it is important to shutdown your
computer. This will let your computer run more smoothly
and save power too.
Why? - Our computers contain a lot of sensitive and
irreplaceable information. It is important to keep this
safe and to stop others from fiddling with your stuff. If
someone goes on your computer when your email or BCESIS is
open, you are exposing yourself to risk and liability.
